Building Information Modeling (BIM) and Virtual Design & Construction (VDC) are two new technologies that we’re using to streamline the construction process. On complex projects, these systems support estimates; develop and animate schedules; plan site logistics including crane placement and traffic patterns; visualize construction sequencing; and predict clashes between building components.
By allowing for early recognition of problems, these systems help prevent costly field fixes. The visual models also help all stakeholders understand how the project will progress and how it will look when finished.
