Elford’s Safety Department is devoted to providing a safe and healthy workplace for our employees, subcontractors, clients and partners. For each project, we develop a Site-Specific Safety Plan to identify site conditions, work functions and challenges that may pose risks during the project. Then we take proven steps to mitigate those risks.

Whether performing an infection control risk assessment in the healthcare industry, reviewing GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices) with an industrial client, or holding a pre-start meeting with a steel erector to coordinate site logistics, Elford’s focus on safety and health is constant and continuous – because safety has always been a core focus of our working culture.

We see OSHA requirements not as goals, but as bare minimums to be exceeded. And we do. Our Superintendents complete a mandatory 30-hour safety course delivered by a Certified Safety Professional. This course has two tracks: a safety track and a health track. Because at Elford, safety is more than just avoiding on-the-job injuries.

We know our workforce are visitors to your jobsite and place of business. We will seek to understand completely how you operate your business so there are no inconveniences, disruptions or uncertainties and your staff and visitors will not be at risk because of construction activities. That’s the Elford Difference.
